Just Be Yourself; With Respect for Ourselves, the Space, and One Another.

When we step on the dance floor, we include our whole selves, even the frightened parts that want to hide. we dance through pain and sorrow. we dance with joy until our hard edges soften and our masks fall away. we meet other courageous dancers, weaving unbreakable threads of connection. our friendships transcend the boundaries of time and space. and it all melts together–beat, movement, breath–into a swirling vortex we call community. as the throbbing pulse of the dance floor matches our own heartbeat, we know, without a doubt, we are not alone.

  • All participants agree to attend only if they exhibit no symptoms of COVID-19. If you have any doubt, even just a little, stay at home.
  • Dancers may choose to mask, or not. Come knowing you could be around unmasked dancers.
  • During the dance, all dancers should attempt to maintain a 6 ft distance from other dancers unless they receive clear consent to being in that space.
  • Our dances are held at The Fledge which has a large dance space with a tall ceiling and excellent COVID-conscious ventilation.
  • We do look forward to COVID-19 considerations not being necessary…
  • And perhaps most importantly keep in mind that dance is powerful healing for yourself and our community in this challenging time when we need it.
